David Moyes has signed a six-year contract to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson in charge of champions Manchester United next season. The 50-year-old Scot leaves Everton after 11 years at the Goodison Park helm when his contract expires. Moyes expressed his desire to leave for Old Trafford in a meeting with Everton chairman Bill Kenwright last night and replaces retiring great Ferguson, who joins United's Board of Directors this summer following 27 trophy-laden years as the the club's manager. Moyes will stay on at Everton until the end of the month, leading the Toffees in their remaining two games of the campaign against West Ham and Chelsea. SOURCE: Daily Mail
