Global Skill Consulting and Education on behalf of our client a fast growing start up company based in Arusha, is seeking a Financial Controller for the Arusha office.
Job description
The controller will manage accounting systems, financial controls, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries. They will also assist in a successful audit. They will need to make journal entries themselves, but will be expected to build an accounting team around them as the company grows. The company uses a web-based accounting software called Xero.
The ideal candidate must be a quick learner who can adapt to this tool. The ideal candidate must also be comfortable working by themselves and making decisions - this is not an environment where there will always be someone telling them exactly what to do. The candidate must have fluent English, as this is a English-language office. The candidate must be smart, ambitious, trustworthy, ethical, and willing to grow with the company.
They must also have experience managing a commercial P&L statement. They must be a team player and enjoy working as part of a small, dedicated team that does whatever it takes to get the job done
Education Requirement
· Bachelor's degree program in accounting, finance, business administration/management.
· Individual with CPA will be given a preference
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience
· Exemplary communication skills in both oral and written aspects
