The Keri Chryst, (with microphone); and Jeff Hoffman, (playing guitar); performed at the Buguruni School of the Deaf for over 100 students recently. In their performance, Keri and Jeff also interacted with audiences, discussed American culture and geography, and enjoyed welcome singing and dancing performances offered by their hosts. The duo was accompanied by United States Embassy Public Affairs officials, who underscored the United States' commitment to strengthen youth outreach through cultural exchange programs that partner American musicians with Tanzanian musicians and the public. In addition, they donated over 200 books and basketballs to children at the Buguruni School of the Deaf and the Alice Foundation on behalf of the American people who sponsored their visit to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania from April 25 to April 30 through the U.S. Department of State's Africa Regional Services (ARS) based in Paris and the U.S. Embassy in Dar es Salaam.
